Who are we?Chesapeake Choirs are made up of the choral and a cappella ensembles at Chesapeake High school in Pasadena, MD. Consisting of a non-auditioned choir (Concert Choir), an auditioned chamber choir (Chamber Singers), and an auditioned a cappella group (Evolve), Chesapeake Choirs upholds a rich history of vocal ensemble music - a program that has received many accolades in the last 30 years, and more!
We strive to create holistic and performance-based music education in the choral program at Chesapeake, sharpening all the tools in a singers' toolbox, including vocal technique, ensemble communication & leadership skills, music theory & music literacy, and much more. We learn what the professional sector of choral performance looks like through internationally celebrated guest speakers & clinicians including past clinicians such as composer Will Todd and professional chamber choir Lux.
