Ms. Dina SpyropoulosMs. Spyropoulos is a passionate educator and has extensive performance experience as both a conductor and a vocalist. Ms. Spyropoulos graduated with a degree in Music from Franklin & Marshall College in 2021. While there, she performed and toured nationally with the F&M Chamber Singers, under the direction of Dr. William Wright. She studied classical voice with internationally-renown soprano, Gwynne Geyer, and studied conducting under the batons of Dr. Brian Norcross and Dr. William Wright. Additionally, she served as music director of F&M's only co-ed a cappella group, The Poor Richards.
Following undergrad, Ms. Spyropoulos earned her Master of Music in Choral Conducting degree from Shenandoah Conservatory, where she studied with some of the most sought-after conductors and clinicians nationwide, including Dr. Matt Oltman, Dr. Austin Thorpe, and Dr. Hillary Ridgley. At Shenandoah Conservatory, Ms. Spyropoulos was the assistant conductor of Shenandoah Chorus, the treble ensemble, and of Shenandoah Voices, the tenor-bass ensemble. She was the director and conductor of a student-led choir with over 25 undergraduate and graduate singers. Additionally, she was the assistant conductor of the opera department, as well as the conductor and pianist for two student-led opera productions. Ms. Spyropoulos has a passion for musical theatre, as she has directed, music directed, and conducted a number of musicals. As a vocalist, Miss Spyropoulos has had the privilege to perform both in the states and across the globe, in roles such as a featured soloist and chorister at the Biennale Arts Festival in Venice, Italy. She has toured in the DMV area with recitals and concerts for esteemed audiences, such as the Japanese Embassy. Still an active singer, Ms. Spyropoulos sings with the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral of Baltimore on the weekends, and has been a featured soloist with local choirs and other musical organizations. Ms. Spyropoulos joined the AACPS community in Fall of 2023 and joined the CHS music department in the Fall of 2024. Her Boosters and students alike are so excited to see where we go from here! |
