Evolve is the most select group at Chesapeake--an a cappella group typically between 10-16 singers. Evolve is run as an academic choir class during the school day, in addition to a few after-school rehearsals (typically from 3:30-5:00pm). Evolve performs the most often of the groups at Chesapeake, with performances spanning typical CHS functions, community events, international competitions, and more. They have also occasionally recorded & released EP's!

Evolve's History: 
Founded in 2017 by former CHS Director Michael Brisentine, Evolve quickly burst into the a cappella scene, placing 4th at ICHSA Finals in 2019 with an award for Outstanding Choreography. In 2021 at ICHSA, they advanced to the Mid-Atlantic Semifinals. In 2020, Evolve was featured on the BOHSA (Best of High School A Cappella) album, singing “Just Like Me” by Betty Who.
